Details:
The round tabletop’s horizontal slats are like spokes coming off its wider-paneled center cross of wood. While this design is striking in itself, the individual cumaru boards, when taken all together, accentuate the exotic hardwood’s prominent grain, which varies appealingly in shade and intensity, from deep amber to a rich chocolate-brown. The assertiveness of the grain can fool you into seeing a raised texture where there is none; the wood surface is actually perfectly smooth.

Each of the four slender legs attaches to the middle of one arm of the tabletop cross, and to one of four intersecting legs that create a kind of cross of their own, but with slightly offset arms. The imaginative placement of the legs is what gives this high table its surprising stability, and its effortlessly streamlined look.
